Raffle tickets are available now for an exclusive chance to have breakfast and a story with Mrs. Claus. The event will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Granger House Museum, 970 10th St in Marion. Two one-hour sessions will be at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Marion Holiday Giving Project. Participants will tour the Granger House and learn about the holidays in the late-19th century. Children will enjoy sharing breakfast around the dining room table with Mrs. Claus. In addition, Mrs. Claus will read the story “The Spirit of Christmas: A Giving Tradition”. Raffle tickets are $5.00 each and are available at the Marion Chamber, 1225 6th Ave Ste 100, the Marion Public Library, 1095 6th Ave, and Hills Bank & Trust, 800 11th St in Marion. The drawing will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Christmas In The Park in City Square Park. Need not be present to win. This experience is open to children ages 5-10, a parent or guardian must remain on-site, space is limited to 20 children. About the Marion Holiday Giving Project Each year the Marion Independent School District organizes a giving project for families in need within the school district. Through the joint efforts of school groups, community organizations and local businesses each family is provided with nonperishable food items, clothing, and gifts.
